Our Partner, A Tope Tokan-Lawal, was a panellist at the National Arbitration Conference hosted by Lagos State University’s (LASU) ADR Society on 9th July 2024. The Conference served as the conclusion to the Society’s National Arbitration Competition which commenced in April with 12 Universities represented from across Nigeria. The finals was between LASU and the University of Lagos (UNILAG), with LASU emerging as the competition’s winner.
The Conference’s theme was “The Dispute Resolution Revolution: Navigating Arbitration for Success in the 21st Century” and the panel session centered on “Youth Engagement In Arbitration: Empowering The Next Generation.” Ms Tokan-Lawal and other panellists discussed their arbitration career, opportunities, engagement of young lawyers in arbitration, mentoring, amongst other topics.
We congratulate the LASU ADR Society and its executives for their tireless work in coordinating both the Competition and Conference, even while managing their immense law school workload.
