Works of an artistic nature include, blueprints, charts, cartoons/comics, diagrams, engravings, graphs, logos, maps, paintings, photographs, sculptures, sketches, and a work of architecture.
Copyright protection is intended to protect the rights of authors/owners to ensure just reward and recognition for their intellectual efforts. The author/owner of an artistic work has the exclusive right to assign, adapt, publish, license, sell, reproduce, or otherwise make the work available to the public. Any person who infringes on the copyright may be subject to both civil and criminal liability.
